Professional Bio
Nick and his sister Megan own JJ's Convenience Stores, a third-generation family business in Huntington, established in 1980 by their grandfather Ralph Johnson as Johnson Junction. They manage eight C-stores, two Quick Lubes, a coffee shop, and a laundromat and oversee Johnson Petroleum's oil marketing and wholesale operations. Following their grandfather's retirement in 1999, their parents, Brent and Darlene, took over. Since then, Nick and Megan have expanded the business, acquiring additional stores and a quick lube from Gallahan Oil Co. in 2018 and a truck stop in 2022. Nick handles "back of the house" operations, including Accounting, IT, Maintenance, and Fuel Supply, while Megan oversees "front of the house" operations. Nick, who married his wife Andrea for 14 years, has two children and recently became the guardian of his niece Cadence. They are active in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and Huntington Catholic School. Nick also volunteers as a firefighter and first responder, serving on the Huntington University Foundation Board and Huntington Catholic School Board. Nick is the Secretary/Treasurer on the IFFA Board of Directors.
