Professional Bio
Joel joined Giant Eagle/GetGo in September 2018, where he was responsible for managing GetGo's fuel category, overseeing retail pricing, supply and logistics, wholesale branded sales, and commercial fleet sales. More recently, Joel has also assumed leadership of the strategic direction for GetGo's facilities and maintenance team. Over the past five years, Joel has played a pivotal role in enabling GetGo to bring fuel procurement in-house, establish best-in-class fuel distribution practices, and launch a new loyalty program, AdvantagePay.
Before joining Giant Eagle, Joel served as the General Manager of Fuel Marketing & Procurement at Kwik Trip, Inc. During his nine-year tenure, he led various initiatives, including fleet optimization, the adoption of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), the introduction of renewable fuels like Unleaded88 and Biodiesel blending, and diversifying the supply portfolio to include bulk trading and hedging capabilities.
Furthermore, Joel holds positions on the Fuels Institute's Board of Advisors, the IFFA's Board of Directors, and the NACS Content Committee.
